Mentari Merah Di Ufuk Timur is the third studio album recorded by the band Search, produced by M. Nasir which was recorded by Lion Studio in Singapore and distributed by PolyGram Records since February 1987.

Currently, the group Search consists of Amy (vocals), Hillary Ang (lead guitar), Din (rhythm guitar), Nasir (bass) and Yazit (drums). They recorded 17 songs before leaving Polygram this year; Only 10 songs are included in this album, while the rest are included in the album Di Pintu Sepi and Berpaling which also contains old songs from previous albums.
